Health and Wellbeing
CaFHS
The Child and Family Health Service (CaFHS) is a free service for all families with children from birth to five years old, living in South Australia.
CaFHS runs a ‘Getting to Know Your Baby’ program.
CaFHS also provides health checks for children. Health checks are routinely done at 6 – 9 months old, at 18 – 24 months old and again at preschool, but can be done anytime.
If you have any concerns about your child’s growth or development, or you’d like to request a health check, please call 1300 733 606 to book a clinic appointment. Please request Ardtornish Children’s Centre when booking.
Antenatal
The Northern Adelaide Midwifery Group Practice visits our site to provide pregnancy check-ups.
Contact them on 8182 9000 for more information.
GP Obstetric shared care
GP Obstetric shared care is pregnancy care with your GP and your birthing hospital.
Most of your antenatal appointments will be with your GP and 2-3 appointments at the hospital.
The initial triage/booking visit at NALHN will be in a community outreach clinic close to your home where you will meet with the Shared Care Midwife.
For further information call the Shared care co-ordinator 0417840062
